Expert Installation for Exceptional Doors
A beautifully made door deserves an equally precise installation.
DesignedBuilt provides professional installation services for our custom doors, jambs, architectural hardware, and integrated door systems. Our installation teams understand the tolerances, materials, and coordination required for high-end residential, hospitality, and commercial projects.
We work closely with architects, general contractors, millwork companies, hardware consultants, and other trades to ensure that every opening performs properly and reflects the quality of the surrounding architecture.
Installation Is Part of the Craft
Custom doors are not standard building components.
Oversized dimensions, specialty veneers, concealed hinges, pivot systems, multipoint locks, flush frames, acoustic seals, and premium finishes all require careful handling and experienced installation.
Our installers are skilled woodworkers and door specialists—not general laborers. They understand how to protect finished surfaces, work within tight tolerances, and make the detailed adjustments necessary for proper alignment, consistent reveals, smooth operation, and reliable long-term performance.
Pre-Installation Coordination
Successful installation begins well before the doors arrive on site.
Our team can review architectural drawings, door schedules, hardware specifications, wall conditions, flooring transitions, and adjacent millwork details. We identify potential conflicts early and coordinate with the project team to confirm that openings are properly prepared.
This process helps prevent costly delays, field modifications, damaged finishes, and inconsistent installations.
Field Measurement and Verification
Where required, DesignedBuilt can field-measure openings before fabrication. We verify critical dimensions and conditions, including wall thickness, finished floor elevations, opening geometry, hinge locations, hardware preparation, and interface conditions with surrounding materials.
For complex projects, digital measuring or laser-scanning technology may also be used to improve accuracy and coordination.
Protection and Handling
Our doors are often one-of-a-kind architectural pieces. They must be transported, stored, handled, and installed with care.
Final Adjustment and Commissioning
Installation is not complete when the door is simply placed in the opening.
Each assembly is inspected and adjusted for:
-
Uniform perimeter reveals
-
Proper swing and clearance
-
Smooth latch and lock operation
-
Correct hinge and pivot alignment
-
Floor and threshold clearances
-
Seal compression
-
Soft-close and self-closing performance
Our goal is for every door to feel solid, balanced, quiet, and effortless to operate.
